The silicone beads are food grade, certified non-toxic and free of BPA, phthalates, cadmium and lead; the natural wood beads are polished and left unvarnished.

Hand wash with mild soap before the first use without putting the wood or the metal in water, then feed the wood with coconut oil or beeswax. The clip is not for chewing, and baby should never sleep or stay alone with it.
