Benefits:

This baby butter does more than comfort and nourish your little one. It also helps build connection between caregiver and babe. Each ingredient was chosen on purpose for the superb things it does for the skin.

Calendula oil – antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Useful on skin irritations, it can calm redness and inflammation and ease skin discomfort. As well as soothing any skin type, calendula may bring relief from conditions such as eczema or diaper rash. It has a long tradition in wound healing thanks to its power to stimulate tissue regeneration and repair, and its natural soothing properties can relieve discomfort, itching and irritation. That makes it especially helpful for sensitive or reactive skin, where it works to restore balance and comfort.

Shea butter – loaded with fatty acids and vitamins, shea butter is an outstanding moisturizer. It holds compounds such as cinnamic acid and lupeol cinnamate, both with anti-inflammatory action, which can settle irritated skin and tone down redness and inflammation. Its emollient qualities strengthen the skin's natural barrier, guarding against environmental stressors and stopping moisture from escaping. Most skin types, sensitive skin included, tolerate it well, so it stays a gentle way to soothe and hydrate delicate or irritated skin.

Cocoa butter – intensely emollient, cocoa butter is full of fatty acids that sink deep into the skin to hydrate and nourish it. On the surface it builds a protective barrier that traps moisture and curbs water loss, a real plus for dry or dehydrated skin. Antioxidants within it, such as flavonoids and polyphenols, help fight free radicals and shield the skin from oxidative stress. Used regularly, cocoa butter softens and smooths rough or dry patches so skin feels more supple, and its natural calming, soothing properties ease irritation and inflammation.

Coconut oil – abundant in fatty acids, lauric acid in particular, coconut oil helps hydrate and nourish the skin. It lays down a protective barrier on the surface that prevents moisture loss and keeps skin soft and supple. Its natural anti-inflammatory properties soothe and calm skin that is irritated or inflamed, while its fatty acids help repair the skin's natural barrier function, essential for protecting against environmental stressors and keeping skin health at its best.

Jojoba oil – jojoba oil closely echoes the natural oils the skin already produces, which makes it a wonderful moisturizer. It hydrates without leaving any greasy residue, so it suits every skin type. Because its molecular structure so closely resembles the skin's own sebum, it can penetrate deeply and nourish from within. It also reinforces the skin's protective barrier, holding off moisture loss and environmental damage.

Beeswax – beeswax forms a protective barrier across the skin's surface, sealing in moisture and preventing water loss. That helps hydrate and soften skin, a particular benefit for dry or dehydrated skin. Its waxy texture creates a shield against environmental stressors (or diapers), helping to prevent damage and irritation and keeping skin healthy and resilient. Beeswax also contains anti-inflammatory compounds that soothe and calm irritated or inflamed skin, and it has served traditional medicine for centuries for its wound-healing qualities. As an emollient it softens and smooths the skin, is well tolerated by most skin types, and is less likely to cause allergic reactions than synthetic ingredients.

Vitamin E – a powerful antioxidant, vitamin E helps neutralize free radicals, the molecules that can damage skin cells. Being lipid-soluble, it can strengthen the skin's natural barrier function and hold moisture in, which hydrates and nourishes the skin and leaves it feeling soft, smooth and supple. Its natural anti-inflammatory properties soothe and calm irritated or inflamed skin, and vitamin E has been shown to support wound healing by helping form new skin cells and boosting tissue repair.
